Jumped in the Town and Country, to see the family band

Headed North up 218, across this green land

From Wyoming to Monticello, Cascade to Farley

Corn and beans and Grant Wood scenes, as far as the eye can see

The Wapsipinicon's in the rear view mirror down 151

Reached Hazel Green at 12:15 and made our river run

Hit Baraboo at half past two, our destination in sight

The Family Band will take the stand on the Opry stage tonight

There’s Stephy on the stand-up bass and Liz plays the fiddle

Virgil plucks the banjo and Cindy sings a little

And Cupcake will tell you, there’s love in every note

You’ve got to hear the Family Band and that’s just all that she wrote

The people have come to listen since 1979

There’s a hayrack ride and good food inside and the girls look mighty fine

To hear the finest pickin’ and the stories that they tell

Jump in the van and cross the land and come up to the Dells

Jump in the van and cross the land and come up to the Dells

Jump in the van and cross the land and come up to the Dells
